Been Awhile

So it has been a while since I have posted. Julie and I got married, went on a honeymoon, got pregnate a few months later, and now have a beautiful son. So what have I done to Hubie so far. After we got back from Missoula Julie and I took off the luggage rack, sanded it down and put a fresh coat of white paint on it. I rebuilt the cabinets, so we could see a little better out the side. I put in a decent stereo, and re did all the paneling. It gets very hot here in the summer so I also covered all the walls and ceiling with two layers of NASA bubble wrap. This works as a great radiant Barrier. Today I added a seatbelt in the rear so we can take our son on road trips. I have new canvas from gowesty, to install , but that comes after pain which comes after sheet metal replacement. Lucky I just sourced some good panels today. Sorry I have been short on posts. I will make a conciouse effort at posting more this year.

A New Start

It all started with a little phone call from Linda. Two of Julies parents friends, Jackie and Stewart were looking for a new home for there 1970 VW westy "Hubie". Jackie asked Linda if she thought we would enjoy the Bus; Julie and I thought it would be great. It was hard to contain our excitement. We drove to Missoula and picked him up on Sept 21st 2007. This bus runs amazingly well, I have owned several Vee Dubs over the years and ridden in several more and Hubie by far runs better then all of them. Although there are a few minor body issues to take care of Hubie is in great shape. This will be a record of our repairs and Adventures.
